LivWell Enlightened Health, a seed-to-sale cannabis company in Colorado is hosting a streaming musical performance by Dance Party Time Machine (DPTM) on April 20, 2021, to celebrate the stoner holiday with the community. The virtual gathering will start at 4 pm MT.

100% of donations collected during the stream will go to Colorado Restaurant Foundation and its Angel Relief Fund. This includes local Colorado restaurant employees and others who have been deeply impacted by the lingering pandemic. Already over $10K has been raised for the foundation by the event sponsors. This second annual event will be hosted at: https://420foracause.com/.

The Music

The streaming performance features Dance Party Time Machine artists as well as opening acts TYJA3, Center Scenes, and Silver and Smoke. DPTM band artists include members of Lettuce, Lotus, The Motet, Thievery Corporation Live, Sunsquabi, Andy Frasco, and the UN, plus many others.

The band plays “decades of music at a time and it switches from decade to decade. It’s all about taking a time machine through music.” Their playlist features songs that not only celebrate the plant we all adore but take you through a musical journey in familiar but new and soulful ways with fun improvisations.

How It Happened

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the performances were pre-recorded. The live performance of DPTM was recorded on St. Patrick’s Day at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver with limited capacity. Various sponsors for the event were in attendance such as members from Wana, Eureka, and O.Pen. Event go-ers enjoyed the electrifying energy of the musicians and their songs while surrounded by festive decor at socially distanced tables, the first concert for many in over a year.

LivWell event organizer Rebecca Maestas, worked with J2G Live and Cervantes to bring a live Dance Party Time Machine performance back in 2021 during uncertain times and when it didn’t seem possible. The event was a culmination of her desire to combine cannabis and music together by forging alliances between the industry and musicians who have an affinity for the plant. Says Maestas, “Nothing brings me more joy than grooving to the best compilation of songs that honor and celebrate this annual holiday that bridges the gap between all cannabis consumers and advocates.”

So get your groove on with LivWell on 4/20 with your own private music performance wherever you may be and support a great cause!
