China builds phallic skyscraper then censors all internet searches about it.

Inspiration comes in many forms. When China's national newspaper, The People's Daily, built their headquarters in Beijing, they intended for the building to stand tall as a testament to China's success. What they built instead was a giant penis that's now become a mockery on the internet. And in Chinese government fashion, they are censoring all internet searches that pertain to "People's Daily" and "building." The following message occurs when you search these terms “In accordance with relevant laws, regulations and policies, search results cannot be displayed."

But we do have to give it to the Chinese government. Considering they run The People's Daily, it only makes sense that you'd want to deliver the symbolic message to your people that your cock is bigger than theirs... although we all know the truth behind that statement.
